Numeracy

Numeracy is taught on a daily basis throughout school. In  Foundation Stage children learn through play. Numeracy sessions are fun and interactive. Children learn through practical activities, singing, role play and number games.

In Key stage 1 the emphasis is based on developing mental strategies . Children learn to solve mathematical problems using numberlines, hundred squares and practical resources.

In key stage 2 the focus is upon building existing skills and knowledge, whilst applying them across topics within real life situations.
