HistoryHistory in our school has long enjoyed a vital and 'mainstream' role in the creation of a broad and balanced curriculum. The subject is brought alive for pupils through exciting lessons in the classroom which lead to themed days and educational visits to places such as Eden Camp and Clarke Hall. The units in the History curriculumn give children the opportunity to experience many different aspects of this subject from the Vikings and Romans to World War I and II. We are conscious that history pervades every aspect of our lives and cultures. Moreover, while it is a subject which makes its own distinctive contribution to the school curiculum it can also make a major contribution to learning in many other curriculum areas - Literacy, Numeracy, ICT, PSHE and Citizenship.
