Design & Technology

The skills learnt during Design and Technology lessons help to prepare children to participate in tomorrow's rapidly changing technologies.  Children learn to think and respond creatively whilst completing various Design and Make activities throughout school.  These skills build on the Knowledge and Understanding strand of the Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Each activity requires children to:

•    Develop, plan and communicate their ideas.
•    Work with tools, materials and other equipment.
•    Evaluate the products that they have produced.

The units of work taught throughout school enable children to explore areas such as mechanisms, structures, textile and food technology.
